Summary
The goal of the Tissue Engineering Unit is to provide the CRG, PRBB and external researchers with the latest technologies used in the fields of stem cell biology, stem cell differentiation, organoid formation and induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs). It also continuously sets up new technologies that are emerging in the above fields.
The unit works in collaboration with the Biomolecular Screening & Protein Technologies Unit at the CRG to provide CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing technology service.
The facility was created in September 2015. From that time until the end of the year, the unit’s main tasks were defining and setting everything up; that is, services, procedures, reagents, equipment and general organization.
